Semi Vs. Train
SVFD and H & S EMS were dispatched to a MVA involving a semi tractor/trailer and a train 4 miles East of Spearman on Hwy. 15 at 13:06, October 24, 2003. SVFD Chief (unit 501), SVFD Asst. Chief (unit 502), and Rescue Unit 51 responded. Pre-arrival information from Central Dispatch was the Semi was a Grain Truck (No Hazardous Cargo) and no injuries. Units 501 and 502 were first on scene to confirm Central Dispatch information. The truck with only one occupant was not trapped and signed a No-Treatment, No-Transport form for the paramedics responding with H & S EMS. SVFD secured the scene and found no fluid leaks from either vehicle involved. All responding SVFD units were cleared from the scene at 13:45.
